Mapping Values

The Mapping Values Project

We are developing a toolkit to enable better urban planning and public participation in local government. You can learn more about the project, the team, and how to help us, below:

“Mapping Values” is a British Academy-funded pilot project that will run for 12 months (until April 2022). It combines participatory map-making, digital humanities, oral history, and walking workshops. The project brings policymakers into dialogue with citizens to develop a better understanding of what makes for a good city.

We are piloting the project by looking at Kilburn, a wonderfully complex area of London, rich in history, and covered by three different councils. If you have ever lived in, worked in, commuted through, or generally spent a decent amount of time in Kilburn, we would love to hear from you.
